Guys this is a picture thread. Let's move this discussion to a more appropriate place.

To quickly answer the question I like 308 because you can go anywhere from cheap mil surp to match grade loads. Lots of options

Here's a few. My daughter and I teamed up on a 4x5 Ochoco Mulie, she jumped it and sent it my direction, I shot it with a Kimber Montana in .308 with a 3x9 Leupold lightweight, she was carrying a Stainless Model 70 CRF in 6.5 Swede, Leupold. I shot the elk with a Kimber Montana in 300wsm, Leupold. The pre 64 94 was on a very relaxed blacktail hunt of no success, but I couldn't resist the picture while sitting in a clearing enjoying the evening. The glamour shot of .308 Montana was also in the Ochoco's on an unsuccessful hunt, the lichen on the rocks inspired the shot.

Unfortunately, my "in the field" photo only includes antlers. I was so stoked on finding these sheds in the Spring, perhaps I got just a little too picky in the Fall. You all know the old saying: "Don't pass up on the first day, what you'd be happy to shoot on the last day." Yep, it's tag soup for me this year. All you little forken horns are welcome.
