With time, they would want those too.

QFT
Their endgame is the elimination of all firearms from civilian hands.

Period.
Please correct me if I am wrong; but black powder/muzzleloaders can still be gotten without a background check, across state lines, does not need FFL, can be owned by prohibited persons, and are not otherwise regulated.... as for other types of shotguns.... they know if they push too far they will lose their jobs
Perhaps their eventual goal is Venezeula style mass disarming... but theres the pesky little thing called the 2A and the SCOTUS although it remains to be seen what the SCOTUS may say related to putting semiautomatics onto the NFA registry, if it comes to pass.
Those thinking Trump and GOP will prevent it... I hold no such confidence. To be honest? They had 2 years of majority to pass the Hearing Protection Act and National Reciprocity.. and they didn't. Does not matter what excuse they can use.. the point is they didn't help gun owners as far as I can see, and theres the executive ordered bump stock ban as well.

DOA until 2020?
Don't trust RINO's and left leaning R's. There's simply no guarantee this couldn't get passed and signed in the current political climate. Anything is possible...

I can't see how they have time for the continuous investigation into the POTUS, Russian collusion, and drafting tyrannical legislation... Don't they ever sleep?

They seem to feel emboldened and empowered. Seems to me it might be time to have a reckoning in Washington, D.C.

We need a significant number of people, gun owners or not, to march and tell the Federal Government that they have gone too far legislating everything, that the Constitution limits the government, and that the People have withdrawn their consent to the rule of Fed Government, and therefore must reform it .

But alas... too many people are far too comfortable and willfully ignorant :(

I do hope this latest bill lights a fire under more gun owners because
1) it includes their favorite semiautomatic rifles and shotguns... say the Browning BAR, A-5, the Benelli semiautos, Ruger Ranch rifle, Remington 750 Woodmaster, and quite a few others

2) it shows that they want further bans and control, perhaps towards a complete and total firearm ban other than shotguns and muzzleloaders for hunting
There's one thing standing in their way of making Amerika socialist and fulfilling their whet dreams...

Once that pesky Second Amendment is rendered inert, we will be just like every other socialist experiment, and destined to fail famously, kinda like, oh I don't know, Venezuela....

Think more so like Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia, they take the guns and shortly after genocide.
Call me paranoid but I believe that is more so the direction they want to take this, that is why these antigun laws make me so angry, because I know history and have seen where this leads,it's not pretty.

They'll just get enough commie states to repeal it.

Or declare a national emergency once a democrat president comes about. But hey its cool, gun owners will vote democrat anyways cause for some reason that'll protect our rights. o_O:rolleyes:
Declaring an Emergency on a Federal level ..., if that happens we citizens are then covered under 42 US Code 5207 where it states by law Firearms Confiscation is Prohibited by any Federal officer or any one under Federal operations or receiving Federal money and citizens can sue them if they try it. Go look it up !

Was this before or after Katrina?

One word, Katrina...

I realize there's laws prohibiting it, but we all know the government doesn't have to pay attention to the laws it's made...

Edited:
Ignore my Above post, appearantly my stupid pills are working today...

Their endgame is the elimination of all firearms from civilian hands.

If anyone should be on the fence about this statement, please read the current Hawaii state Senate resolution to redefine or replace the 2A to state that it is not an individual right but a collective (defined as State or government) one :(

They would lose big by banning shotguns and muzzleloaders, especially from the hunters and Joe Bidens in their Party.
The Bloomberg shill groups (Everytown, MDA) define an "assault weapon" as any weapon that can fire more than 10 rds per minute... I would consider that to mean any cartridge firearm and, in the right hands, a few black powder arms too. Sounds silly, but they have widespread support amongst federal, state, and local Democrat politicians. With an agreed-upon "definition" like that, there can be no doubt of their aspirations.

Gentlemen, Lets stay away from Left vs right / Dem vs Repub's language. It's Anti-2A / Aniti-Gunner.

Anymore and this thread gets closed. Thank you in advance.

No denying which Party endorses/sponsor/proposed this bill
I just hope that if this comes to pass... that it would light a fire unheard of in these days that would make Thomas Jefferson proud of his legacy... again, too many are too comfortable and willfully ignorant

We shall see what happens.

Muh shotgun!

I hope this gets more attention, wake up the fuds.

As long as you continue to see NRA stickers the fudds are alive and well. I get them in my shop ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad: I have started telling them they are wrong and have no idea what is happening. 95% of them are over the age of 65, watch fox religiously, haven't trained in years or ever and have no clue (nor they care to get one) what is happening across the country and the complicit nature in ALL of it by the NRA. There is absolutley no excuse to be ignorant anymore, the information is literally at your fingertips and it takes very little effort to be informed for yourself!
Tear up your NRA cards and spend that money on quality gear or training!

Weird, I can think of several NRA members that don't fit your mold at all. In fact they are also here and working to save/protect our Rights.

Be careful when you paint with such a wide brush, generalizations often fall far from the truth...Something to think about. We need a bigger tent...not smaller.

"NRA called 'terrorist organization' in billboard funded by former Clinton staffer"

"Conn. Governor Defends Likening The NRA To 'A Terrorist Organization"

"'New York State Senator Calls NRA a Terrorist Organization"

Real headlines, no party affiliation offered... or needed.

I'll take "What would an Anti-2A dolt write for $400 Alex":

Different organizations are good for different things. At least that was what I heard on one of the two gun related podcasts I listen to.

When you look at all the NRA certified instructors, events and safety information the NRA puts out, to name a few things... Hard not to support them at least a little for that. If you want court action though I'd say SAF is good for that, FPC has been cropping up lately. GOA of course can't forget them and their no compromise stance.

Local action is different organizations. As long as you support one or some of them you are ok in my book. :)

I'm slowly on a mission to support them all.

In between training, but I find that part fun.

Eggs explode cool when you shoot at them.

Thank God I have chickens.
