non-LEO citizens tackle people for sake of doing what's right. for cops, doing what's right is a little farther down the list of motivators, and is always well behind personal safety.

How should it make them look? They arrested the alleged perp when they arrived. Short of pre-cognizant law enforcement it appears that they did what they are paid to do. What was that movie about arresting the criminals before the crime?

I think he is talking about the Woodcarver shooting. About police needing to shoot a guy carving wood while walking across a street because he wouldn't "drop it."

There are many different people here with many different viewpoints on various issues. Like religion, discussing these issues here is highly likely to offend and very little good can come of it. We need to be focusing on the things that bring us together (firearms), not the things that have the potential to divide us (politics).
