I used to buy and sell collectables. Before online sales was even thought of I kept a pretty good list of what was selling in my area and what those same items sold for in the mid west. There were things I could buy in the Mid west that I could easily double my money on in CA. There were things I could get in CA that no one saw in the mid west.
Now with online sales what they are, it has leveled out the prices. People in OK, have access to the CA markets just as easily as someone next door!
The OP just has to decide if he is willing to wait for a local guy to want his gun enough to pay over MSRP, Be willing to take only what his local market will bear, Or sell online knowing he will reach a larger target audience.
