I dont like that the article calls people against wealth redistribution "self-interested" and those for it (socialists), "more likely to put their own self-interest aside and support the welfare state." As if the welfare state was objectively correct along with its righteous supporters. lol. Seems to be some liberal subtleties in the Psychological Science journal. "You're scientifically selfish if you're not a socialist!" - says a fake scientist (psychologist)

Anyway, got 185x10 last time. Thats up from 135x3 a few months ago and down from 225x15/275x6 a couple years ago. Goal is 225x10 this time around.

And of course we have the right beliefs. Why would they assume our superior genes only applied to our physical strength? Weak body, weak mind.

edit: according to this article, Ron Paul must bench around 425. seems legit.

Before my back and neck injuries my bench was 275. Not the most in the world but I was happy with it. Oddly I never could get it higher no matter what I did. I stayed right there for a year. Do any of you gym rats have any ideas ?

Use a 1 ounce washer. Add 1 ounce to each side of the bar ever time you bench. It might take awhile but it will get you through that sticking point. It worked for me.
Good Luck

try changing things up.

raise your reps for a while. maybe bring the weight down and bring the reps up to 10 instead of going for 1 rep max's. after you get used to that, work the weight back up and the reps back down.

try working on dips, add weight if you can.

or try different ranges of the lift. squat racks are good for this. put a flat bench in the squat rack and set the safety bars at the bottom or top half of the lift. then add alot of weight and go. if you're failing at the top of the lift, work there, if you're failing at the bottom, work on pushing off your chest.

just some ideas.
