Do you have better pics? Becasue it could be airsoft for all we know. Heck they reported that AR was an AK also. Still cant find out 3 or 4 guns I have heard it both ways so many times. Also they reprorted 2 people so what is right? That pic does not prove anything. You might be right but then again I have heard the news report so much BS cant trust them at all.

Interesting link... There's a ballistic shield by the building, either left by the police (doubt it) or he was trying to use it, though with his hands full with firearms not sure how that would work. One of the items shown in the pictures does look like your typical ballistic vest, not sure about the helmet, could be an airsoft replica or it could be genuine. Creepily enough there looks like a trail of bloody footprints in the last picture.

Funny this must be real cheap body armor. I wounder how much protection you get without inserts. Also alot of reports coming out that it was empty so what you think about that?

Yeah that's definitely a load bearing vest according to that picture. Doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't have a vest but that's an interesting note

There are some other possibilities. The shooter might have been dumb and thought that vest had ballistic protection. Or he wore armor underneath the vest. Or he had no armor at all, besides the helmet
