NEVER, EVER let someone "tailgate" you into a secured access area unless you know they belong there. If they belong/live there, they will appreciate you enforcing the secure area. It's akin to thanking a cashier for "making sure" when asking to see ID when you use your debit card (which I do when that happens).

I live on a mountain on 20 acres. If someone follows me home they will either be greeted with a gun, the neighbors dog, or LEOs I call while sitting in my locked car - maybe all of the above at the same time.
