Shooting at something that you shouldn't be shooting at, and bad luck that day, usually does it. There is a video of the same thing happening when shooting a .50 at steel plates around 50 yards. Ive had a few bounce backs when shooting heavy steel, you just have to be careful and follow the rules of shooting by knowing your target.

kinda strange, there is another video where it looks like the same target and surrounding trees and someone is getting hit with a riccochet from a .270 to the forearm
Im almost convinced the coincidence is too strong to believe.
