Figured this`d be a good place to ask.
Does anyone else listen to music while they shoot? I listen to different songs for different weapons. I just put in the earbuds then my earmuffs over those. It adds a new dimension. Am I alone in this?

I'm not a great multi-tasker, so when I shoot I just stay focused on shooting. Music would be too much of a distraction for me.

Not for me either but don't tell me you listen to soft jazz or slow ballads while blasting away. I'd imagine something more up-tempo.

I listen to songs that fit the weapon I`m using. For example, if it`s a lever-action, I listen to Marty Robins, For an AR, I listen to really high Tempo songs, like L7`s "Pretend we`re dead". For Shotguns, It`s metal, like Judas Priest. I`ve yet to find a gun for Pink Floyd.

The 'tang' sound of the bullet hitting steel is music to my ears.

I prefer to think of it as an extension of the Music, like extra audio in the background.

Nope. My electronic earmuffs have an input for it too.

I've never done it, but I certainly will now. Maybe if I listen to some classical it'll help me slow down on the trigger.

When I shoot/practice/train no tunes, it's about keeping a skill tuned not listening to tunes. I like my music but there is a time and place for it and that isn't when I'm shooting a firearm. Hearing how my firearm is operating is important and blasting tunes would take away from that. No offense but it seems to fit well with those that play video games and want to mix that with the real thing.

Sometimes I leave the stereo on when I take one of the tractors or the skidder down to my shooting spot. Other times, I'd rather it just be quiet.
