How about the 7.62X39 AR and mags?

I got a 7.62X39 upper on a trade,with one magazine.
I was going to just use it with my other lower but I'm not lacking many parts for a complete gun.
I've seen the AK mag lowers,so a guy can use AK mags,but they are spendy. And the AR mags aren't too bad,just need to find them in stock

So the question is,is the AK mag lower worth it,if I only intend this for plinking?
Or is it just as good to use the AR for X39 mags?

If the upper has a modified firing pin for Com Bloc Ammo, you're probably good to go.

You're not going into combat and not interested in "Fire Suppression"
all you need is one magazine until you can find a bargain. The short .223 magazines
will work fine if you don't stuff them full.
