Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Great rifle. These are a very historic under valued gun. Common in post revolutionary America and a pure American design. Most were small bore eastern rifles. I remember seeing them advertised in gun publications in the 60's. What caliber do you think it is? What caps does it take.....some were the larger musket caps and some wee the typical size.
I am no expert on black powder guns, it does cock back for what ever size cap it uses, and goes to the next position, which looks like the carry position (?), then the hammer drops to fire. It seems to be all there. I am for a selling for a friend.
