Hood River success

    It only took 3 days, but I was finally able to catch up with this hog.:thumbup: It was one seriously WET hunt this year. I definitely think it's time to invest in some gortex hunting gear. At least I was able to skin it during the 2 hours of sunshine that we had that day.:cool:

    130 lbs. Dropped it off at the butcher Monday night, and I'm picking it up tonight. Fresh deer steaks, jerky, and pepperoni on the way. Yummy!!

    He's definitely a benchleg buck. I decided to go with a Euro mount on this guy. I think it will look good!:thumbup:

    I worked for a couple of years on the largest pear/apple farm in Parkdale, right above Hood River.
    All summer long I would see a couple of bucks like that browsing in the orchard, until the day before hunting season.
    How they knew I could never figure out.
