It only took 3 days, but I was finally able to catch up with this hog. It was one seriously WET hunt this year. I definitely think it's time to invest in some gortex hunting gear. At least I was able to skin it during the 2 hours of sunshine that we had that day.

130 lbs. Dropped it off at the butcher Monday night, and I'm picking it up tonight. Fresh deer steaks, jerky, and pepperoni on the way. Yummy!!

I worked for a couple of years on the largest pear/apple farm in Parkdale, right above Hood River.
All summer long I would see a couple of bucks like that browsing in the orchard, until the day before hunting season.
How they knew I could never figure out.
