3) 3 DRT = Social prophylaxis par excellence. Those dirtbags will not be a problem for anybody else.

ADDENDUM
We lived in TX for 3 years ('03-'06). In TX it's legal to shoot a thief after dark. Nothing about proving a threat to your life or any of that drivel. If the BG is stealing a greasy shop rag or a broken screwdriver is irrelevant. After dark you can shoot an intruder (assuming proper target ID, of course).
BTW it is a polite, even cordial, society. It is quite common for a "stranger" to strike up a conversation in the store, something that would mark you as a lunatic here.
G-d, I miss TX.
