Hinged Floor plate to Mag fed?

I just bought a Remington 798 in Mauser action and saw that it was a hinged floor plate loading design, I was wondering if I could convert it or buy something to convert it so it can take a magazine. The rifle is in 30.06.

I know there are conversions for Rem 700 actions, but I don't think anyone make one for Remington's mauser rifle. It doesn't mean it doesn't exist somewhere, but I haven't seen or heard of one and didn't find anything on a quick google search...

there were some 20 round "trench" conversions for the 98 mauser out there a while ago. I'll check, I think I know where I saw them. If I find them I'll put up a link for you

Oh well Sarco is apparently out. but they have a detachable 10 round mag for the 03 springfield, with some mods it may work. It's a shot in the dark


the part # for the trench mag is MSR 167
