Try both and see how each of your rifles work best. They may or may not all like the same technique. My guess is not. Only testing will tell. More excuses to go to the range! My experience is as follows: 17HMR and 223 like the crossarm. The Grendel and Creedmoor are on the fence. 280AI on up to 45-70 seem to like a strong grip on the front end. Your mileage may vary.....
