I've only been into guns a few years, started with parts kits builds funny enough (I've built a pps43, g3, and vz61). Then about a year ago I got a Baby Browning and slowly I stopped shooting my other guns much at all.

I've since got astra cub and sauer 1919 projects but the baby is my fav. It and the sauer have custom resin print grips I've designed, fun thing to do now that I've figured out how. Although I'm still diagnosing cracking issues with the baby grips. Sauer's seems to be holding up but the gun barely works, it's my most recent acquisition. Used to not work at all so I'm making good progress. I tend to buy guns that either don't work or barely do 😅

Welcome! You have good taste for those v61, g3, and Pps43 builds. All awesome guns.

I think I have the same FEG. Is yours 22 LR?

Nope, mine is chambered for 380. It's part of the egyptian contract, based on FEG's first walther PP clone the 48m. I believe there were around 20k of the walam, half of which were delivered and have the crest like mine does.

There's some differences from later FEG guns. Namely, a unique loaded chamber indicator design, which was missing from my gun. Made it very affordable but it's impossible to find, lol. I put a screw in the hole, cut the top off, now I have decided I want to try using 3d printing to get dimensions right then order a metal print.

But I can't get the screw out! I tried drilling for a screw extractor but got scared of slipping and damaging slide, so I set the project aside.

Thanks! I've got a beretta pm12 kit and barrel, and it's my fav of all, but the build is very much above my skill level. Some day I'll build it, I figure the longer I wait the more people will have finished and documented the process.

I'm very much a PCC guy, the G3 was actually my first (and still only) rifle caliber gun. Surprised it worked out, but I was only able to do it by purchasing a 100% receiver and a barrel which was already pressed in.the trunnion and bolt gapped. Adding a mag paddle release following the ATF specs and making a fake pin grip housing was the hardest part by far.

Would've been easier if the block in the receiver was designed to fit the paddle internally and if I didn't want my grip housing to have a fake pin.

One thing I like about g3 is being able to change the recoil via lower angle locking piece. I'm running 45 degree in 8.5" barrel g3 and 50 degree in 12.5". Or maybe that's reveresed? Anyway recoil in even the 8.5" is mild now and 12.5" is a kitten (both are PTR guns, not built).
Pm12 would be an awesome gun!

Wow, I should try that! I have a Turkish mp5, was my first non-glock, which I like a ton so the g3 is what I went for. But now I have other build centric reasons for liking the platform.... welded trunnion to receiver attachment is nice and simple, no gas system makes everything easy.

I've since got an AK kit, absolutely hated dealing with the rivets and the gas port was absolutely stuck on the barrel. I gave up and sold it, lol, i'm sure I could've got it finished eventually but it wouldn't be any fun.

I did learn to weld doing the pps43 but I seem to really like it so I'm sticking with weld-centric builds from now on...

Just throwing this out there from another that likes Mouse Guns. All the European guns I own run better with Euro spec ammo. My Walthers in 32 will choke every time on SAAMI spec American made ammo. SAAMI spec has a 70 gr bullet going just under 1000 fps where Euro Spec has the same bullet going near 100 fps faster. Thats just enough to make them reliable.
Good Luck DR

Only gun I've got in 32 is my vz61 and I found the same thing!

In 25, precision small arms strongly recommends a few brands for baby browning to avoid cracking the frame, and my gun came with a cracked frame (which I've repaired, poorly, but it works), so I am very inclined to follow and just use sellier & bellot, lol.

Oh, you think you've got some cool mouse guns? Well they're nothing compared to my all-original, numbers matching, Raven MP-25. Injection molded zamak frame and slide, suspiciously unspecified metal alloy barrel, and walnut grips likely cut from discarded bits found on the ground at a factory that builds real guns.

This beautiful example of world-class engineering will put a 50 grain projectile most of the way through a sheet of paper at a blistering 800 ft/s if you stand really close and aim at the target next to it. The ATF would have categorized it as a destructive device if it didn't have this neat safety feature where the sliding safety switch will slip back into the safe position on its own every two or three shots. Truly brilliant.

I might be willing to sell, but you couldn't afford it. I'll be generous and share a photo though, so you can appreciate the flawless craftsmanship. You're welcome.
