I could give you a "Why" if I liked or felt that the gun in question was the right choice for me , for self defense...
It is not up to me to find the "Why" for someone else.....

My whole position on self defense guns :
Use what you like and get good with it...
Use what works for you and the situation that you are in...

What someone else uses for self defense may or may not be my choice...but that don't matter 'cause I ain't gotta use it...they do...And if it works for them... Then that is all that matters....Not whether I like it or not.

True, but we owe it to others to try and gently guide them in the right direction, especially those who are ignorant or have been subjected to fudd lore at their local gun shop.

Last post here...'cause my point seems lost...

What is right for one person may not be right for someone else...and it ain't up to you or me to say what is right for that someone.

@AndyinEverson I swear I have seen you post that before... :)

On a side note, I agree. Their life, their choice. Heck, there was a news story a few months ago about some dude using a battle axe in a home invasion successfully. Someone wants to gear up with a sp90, plate carrier and NVGs, someone else keeps a baseball bat by their bed, whatever. Right to keep and bear what you think you need.

And I get it, some folks are just trying to help make a different choice. But it is still a choice.
:s0093:

As for the AXE, add an actual axe blade to it, I might be interested.

I'd say lever action is actually ideal for our elder brethren with strength and/or dexterity issues. My pops has Parkinson's and his favorite guns to shoot are his Henry's.. He has a yellow boy in .357 and also a .22 mag...
The lever gives..well.. leverage...making cycling easier.
The weight of the steel and walnut also helps tame his shakes enough to stay more or less on target, and with a tube full of .38 special the recoil is fairly tame.

Interesting. To be fair, my only experience with a lever action is a .410 that was incredibly stiff and hard to cycle. Not sure of the brand.

No offense man, but are you posting nonsense just to get a rise here? And you've now said the .357 and 10mm aren't particularly good for SD so maybe just maybe it's you that needs a little guidance?

There's more to SD than AR's and red dots.

.357 and 10mm are great, for pistol calibers, but they are still just pistol rounds.

Not my first choice in a long gun.

If the teensie little 5.56 isn't manly enough for ya, I would endorse a 12 gauge.

Do you even own firearms? Rhetorical.

Sigh. I'm out. Not worth any more of my time.

"Beware the approach of a man obviously looking to do you some good!!!"

Or something to that effect. I hope you never go into politics or get into the school system. If I want guidance, I know where to find it. Forced guidance is like forced charity. People who believe in that crap tend to believe in taking others rights away... only one step away from being a Fudd, or a Socialist.

I'm gone too. Thanx for turning an interesting product into an argument.

Lol. I am very far from both those things.
