Henry rifle receiver cover

Does anyone know what they use for finish on the receiver cover? It's not blued, I can see little bumps like orange-peel from paint, so I think it's either powder coated or painted. I'm engraving it for a customer and want to be sure before I throw it in the laser.

Any ideas? I have already checked their website and can't find anything there and they are closed today for Good Friday.
