I've always fished later in the the year upstream around drift creek. I would really like to go out with the old man next week and try closer to the bar (not going to get to close to the bar, that thing is dangerous as hell. Was thinking just past the bridge where everyone crabs) I was hoping someone could give me some advice on where, and what type of setup. Are guys still running plug cuts and drop weight? Thanks in advance :)

Never fish there, but whenever I fish somewhere new I fish mostly at the incoming tide and slack tide and I try and find a guide boat to follow.
    Hope this help. Good luck

Fisherman's has some info posted in their news letter about this, I would look up their webpage and see the report...
