If you don't know how to safety check your pistol, please don't load it. A thumb safety shouldn't drop right in with a new sear. It would be some serious luck if the thumb safety just randomly fit the new sear correctly. You likely have a safety hazard on your hands..I bought a trigger kit, the safety was the original. Oddly I never got it to work. I dropped in a ambi safety and it went right in and works great. Just happy to have my .45 running again!
