Well I'm sure that stock is a real pain and the reason I'm not a fan of that type and especially the under folder.

Someone must have taken the rear apart and added that stock. If that is the case, a stock rear trunion could be restored and a regular buttstock put in place.

kvar has some nice US made stocksets...I prefer the plum color commie length.

there are many options, check out midwest industries... <broken link removed>

as long as your Mak90 is a straight cut receiver most everything you buy 'should' fit, if I recall (and I could be wrong) the Mak90 is a Chinese clone of the Russian AKM rifle


most of all make certain your rifle is Title 18 USC § 922(r) compliant

I really like the Hogue AK grip. Just an awesome feel, perfect palmswell. Wish their AR grip felt as good.

Made in the USA so they are 922r compliant. I like the traditional look of the AK with wood furniture but 922r wood AK furniture is expensive.

I personally like the Ultimak gas tube rail because it sits the lowest offering best chance for an optic like a red dot to co-witness the iron sights. http://ultimak.com/m2-b.htm

Brendan, I think that switching around new stock parts can get very messy! I suggest that you send the MAK To me and start anew with an eastern bloc AK! Glad to help. SRG
