Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
I came across some mags from a deceased family member and would like some help IDing them. I know they are .40 cal and he was a competition shooter. I know he had some .40 cal 1911s so I suspect thats what they are. I would just like some confirmation. Also, does anyone know the maker?
Sure look like 1911 mags. I'd guess Springfield Armory due to the SA stamped on the base.
Almost looks like the shorter ones would fit an Officers Model size of gun. Care to stretch a tape measure in a pic for comparison?
The shorter mags are normal (Government and Commander) 1911 length. The long ones are extended mags. The mag latch cut is in the right place to be 1911 mags, too.
