Hells canyon in August

Going there in August. Lots of family, ski boat, fishing, cabin. What's the temp like? Snakes? Etc..

I've been there in August and it was in the high 90's to low 100's. I think the average temperature that time of the year is high 80's. There are rattlesnakes in that area.

Depends on where in the canyon you are but expect HOT & DRY with SNAKES DUST and other people. Take moist wipes and chapstick. And lots of drinking water and camp water.

The northen part of the canyon is very windy. Be ready for that.

We always stay at wood head state park on the Idaho side. Zero theft, great people.
Temps will be around 100 plus, 70-80 at night.
Wood head is on the brownlee reservoir. Great fishing, warm water, lots of space, and too far from the interstate for criminals. They stick to their thieving ways in places like welfare bend, I mean farewell bend.
It is really beautiful. But, there are a LOT of rattle snakes. Look up the imnaha rattle snake round up. Good food!

I will be enjoying weather in the Hi 60 to the low 80s on the left Coast, Thank You. I don't even like the occasional 80s but what is a guy going to do.
