Hello!

I am generally not a social person, but I am a new shooter with lots of questions. I stumbled on this site, liked what I saw, and decided to stay. I just purchased my first gun, a Springfield XDS 9mm, last week. Short of a preliminary cleaning to remove the factory goo, I haven't even taken it out of the box yet. I'm hoping to find a good location to break it in soon, but will probably have to wait until the range in Sherwood opens at the end of the month.

I'm sure I will pop up with stupid questions from time to time. I'll do my best to research as much as possible ahead of time, but I'm still new at this.
