This is exactly the kind of information I was hoping to see. Dang - I just don't know if I can get there that early and survive the standing in line. As I near 70 doing anything without access to a bathroom becomes a challenge. But I don't want the scene to be the anti's outnumbering us. So I may just go for the optic of it when the press arrives.

So who the hell pays for the anti's busses? Whoever it is owns some kind of business that I am SURE I would like to boycott. How do you get the bus company to tell who paid the bill?

That said, those attending PLEASE keep an eye out for any commercial tie in to the anti's and then share it here. Even liberal business owners understand the bottom line.

The other side, well, they flew up a Stoneman mom from Florida. All emotional appeals, hyperbole, empty rhetoric, fear-mongering and misinformation along with some outright lies.

When the whole thing was over, I was struck with a profound sense of depression. It was all theater.

That sums up the bulk of my experiences at those hearings, and I've been to many. The only constant change was the dwindling number of 2A supporters. Aside from the loudmouthed, completely unhelpful larping groups...may they choke on their donuts.

We had some solid dudes (and a couple dudettes as well) providing testimony. Ultimately, as I noted, it appears that these hearings are simply done for show, to present the appearance that both sides are considered. I will grant that Manka Dhingra seemed gracious, patient, polite and respectful. But then, she did grow up in a different culture.

Sadly, in Washington (and it breaks my heart, I've loved this state so much, but it doesn't love me back) the liberal/socialist/progressive side has an agenda, and they will lie, cheat and steal to advance it.

With an 8 am hearing. Building doors inside will probably be opened about 7 AM. Doors to the hearing room, about 745. Only a couple hundred fit, others (a couple hundred) will be sent to the overflow room to watch on TV, the rest, left outside. The panels are FULL already. The chair already has the names, pro and con. SO sign in online and leave testimony.

If you're not in line, outside the senate by about 5AM, you likely wont get into the hearing room. The Anti gunner will show up on busses around 6 AM I would expect. They will have LOADS of people, eating donuts, sipping coffee, knitting scarves. They wont engage you in conversation, they're told NOT to talk to us.

This morning I remembered exactly why I haven't gone into these meetings lately, with everyone talking a carrying on it sounded like a noisy bee hive. My ears can't handle that anymore. I hate crowds especially with the enemy so close you could whack em.

I've been up to hearings in last years, but feel now it is a total waste of time. Save the gas money and give it (and more) to SAF.
These clowns have their marching orders and also have the votes (how'd that happen....no R guvs since mail in voting).
We have to beat them in the courts. We have and will continue to win in court.
This may piss some of you off, but the NRA is nearly useless. Most of its funds go to the lawyers. The ILA is even foundering. SAF, GOA and FPC are very effective. There's also an eastside group that brought suit against the mag ban in federal court.
WE WILL WIN OUR RIGHTS BACK IN COURT!

I hope you are correct, the GOA email I received yesterday read like what has been publicized throughout the industry. The Anti's are throwing so much mud it will take a lot of money just to hold them at bay.

On a side note, while watching a hearing in our state capitol a Democrat quoted "total gun deaths" for the US to a member and then said "Are you aware of any other country with a RATE that high"
The response was lame and no mention that the total number is not a "rate"

He should have quoted the top ten countries for gun deaths, but he just sat there like a whipped puppy.
Neither side knows what they are talking about.

Good job! I did the same thing when measure 114 got enough signatures in July 2022. Bought guns and donated to GOA etc based on that. Balances personal with the bigger fight.

Thanks for the link although I have to say it was depressing to read. Pretty obvious where the money comes from for these anti-gun, anti-freedom, and anti-constitutional new-age socialists.

But Nick is absolutely right about one thing - and that is the pitchfork revolution that will eventually come for him and the other wealthy elite liberals. The beautiful irony of it is that instead of pitchforks it will probably be with the very AR-15's which he so desperately fears.

I guess the orange shirts were to demonstrate their solidarity with the prison inmates. I was gonna say they were worried about being mistakenly shot in case some enraged gun rights activist started blazing away, but I don't believe they're that smart.
