We've been looking at getting one of these home freeze dryers. Does anyone have any experience with these specific units? They look pretty good. If they do what they say they do it would be a great investment.

I have had one of these on my wish list for years. I spoke with a Harvest Right rep at a show and learned more about the machine. This machine needs to have its oil changed regularly, so if you are planning on loaning it to family and friends this could be an issue. Also, it will need a place to drain. The unit was smaller and heavier then I thought but it will save you money if you are very serious about freeze dried foods. It is work and I would advise that you read the product review on Survival Blog. It is a 3 part review and is informative plus gives tips to help with production.
