I'm spending the weekend in Redmond with family.
We went out to breakfast with my dad and GF and as were finishing up I see walking in an old Veteran. He was probably in his 80s, wearing a Navy SEAL hat and SEAL Team 1 shirt.
He sat behind us and was flirting with the waitress and just being a youthful Gentleman.

Before we left I bought a gift cert for $30 and left a note with it that expressed my gratitude for his service and asked the Manager to give it to him after we left.

I hate giving to charities that just steal most of the money for themselves.
So when I get the chance I anonymously pay for a Vets meal or leave them a gift cert/card. Hopefully it shows them how much they mean to the community and that we haven't forgotten their sacrifices.

So I was thinking about the saviors of our freedoms as well.
