How's the recoil? I'm kind of looking for a learners rifle for the grandkids although I've got a few .22's to choose from too.

My wife shoots a 270 handi rifle with little kick. So I would not think about any kick with this one.

very little recoil, I'm 6' 155 and I really don't feel it at all.

From the picture it's stamped .223, do you know if it'll shoot 5.56 also? They aren't the same. You can shoot .223 and 5.56 in a 5.56, but not 5.56 in a .223. Most of my ammo supply is 5.56.
