I am looking for a good hand gun rest to test accuracy of different loads. I need a rest that will stand up to a 44 magnum What would be the best one to buy?

Ransom Rest - spendy little sucker but it does the job.

Just checked them out. They are pricy. I think I will have to go with something else.

A good 'ol sandbag is what I use.

That is what I have now but thought something else would be better. For some reason I have a hard time seeing the front sight and thought a rest would keep the gun more sturdy when I am working up loads.

It won't matter what rest you use if you are having a hard time seeing the front sight.

It looks like the MTM rest is for rifles only and also it looks like it is for cleaning.
