That may be, but tough. It also complicates the ability of killers to obtain firearms they're not allowed to legally possess, and therefore saves lives.

Nice. A law that will do nothing (*) but cause serious criminal penalties for innocent people. Take that outcome with the self-righteous smug "but tough" attitude, and the fact that so many are skeptical of the motives of Anti2A people makes a lot of sense.

(*) is a murderer really going to be deterred by a law that says he or she can't have a gun when the law already says that and murder is so much more serious any way?
