I haven't sold or traded anything at a gun show before and looking for some advice on this. I learned the other day they have a table that does the FFL process for private party's, just charging for the back ground check, no FFL fee. Is that true?

Also, is it okay to put say a 3x5 card with details and a price on my rifle as I walk around or would this be sort of under selling the good people that buy tables at the event?

anything else to know on the issue would be most appreciated

People put prices on there items and walk around with them all the time. DON'T do a private sale at a gunshow without the proper paperwork because it is a federal offense. I watched a 80 year old man get arrested for that once... no bueno.. I don't know if there is a special table setup for private sales but I do know that you need to fill out some paperwork that you can get at the front of the show for private sales.

Good Luck!

PS- try our classifieds here, you may find some good luck

Thanks. I tried here, no1 wants to buy a custom AR15; cheap bulky FSB's, heavy contour bbls, colt style grips and stocks are better to most people i guess.... I cant help it, I have to customize everything

Are you sure? Looking back at your post history, you only ever posted 4 For-sale ads:

Of those, 2 are marked sold, and 2 are marked "cancell add, Im going to keep it"

At what point did you advertise these objects you mention?

2 of those for sale adds were posted by me, 2 are other members for sale adds. The 2 that are mine are for the same AR I'm trying to sell. I figured the gun show would be my best bet as far as getting top dollar. and I'm not even sure I want to sell it for less than 1400 which is about what I am into it. And everytime I hold the thing I'm thinking there is no way I could part with it even for more. It's sad when you grow to love a gun but can't afford to buy more guns :/ I recently became addicted to the FN FiveSeven and can not quit dreaming about buying one.

Do you guys ever use oregonlive.com to sell guns? I've seen a few on there, they allow it and their site gets alot of hits

Never used Oregonlive, I think this site here probably gets some of the best attention around. There is also Outdoorstrader.com but most people that use that site doublepost there ads here on NWFA because it is sooo much bigger and growing extremely rapidly!
