The comment about pulling the front trigger to set the rear is WRONG unless the trigger used in Johnsons rifle is backwards from every double set trigger I have ever seen. Pull the rear to set the front.

The only mountain rifle I have seen in use was a .45-70 lever action used in the TV show "Mountain Men".

True enough. The Thompson Center Patriot pistol is the only one that I have seen that has the set trigger and the firing trigger reversed.
