Target sports got me today. Picked up a case of 10mm and another of 9mm. If you are a member they've got pretty good deals on cheap 9.
Is their stuff reliable for being remanufactured?Freedom munitions has 9mm and several other handgun calibers ammo on sale currently too. $10 for 50 rounds of remanufactured 115g 9mm and 100g .380.
Picked up a wee little stash for a few trips to the range.
I think so. I've bought both their brand new ammo and reman and honestly the reman looks like new ammo. I haven't had any issues with over 500 rds 9mm, 200 rds .380, 200 rds .40, 100+ rds .223 and 100+ 300blk out.Is their stuff reliable for being remanufactured?
I've been pretty surprised by the ruger Americans. I bought a 308 for a work gun and really like it.Ruger American Rifle .308 Win 22" Barrel 4-Rounds w/ Vortex Crossfire II Riflescope. Nothing fancy, my first hunting rifle.
Glad to hear. Do you have any other tips/upgrades etc? I am pretty new to rifles but good to keep it in the back of my mind!I've been pretty surprised by the ruger Americans. I bought a 308 for a work gun and really like it.
I threw a can on mine just cause I shoot alot in town. If your gonna be deer/elk hunting I'd throw a sling on it. I actually have 3 Americans 243,270,308 and they all shoot really wellGlad to hear. I think Timney makes a Trigger for it.Glad to hear. Do you have any other tips/upgrades etc? I am pretty new to rifles but good to keep it in the back of my mind!
Today the delivery "enabler" driver dropped off a box of parts. The 11.5 arrived and will work perfectly with the muzzle brake (and jailed suppressor)... looks like I have a spare 12.5 barrel now ( I wish the 12.5 was mid-length gas).
Like they say... "Measure twice, Order Once. Then change your mind 5 times and reorder with your fingers crossed."
Also scooped up a single-stage trigger, and a silly little tool that is supposed to help keep me from cussing.

I got the Henry Big Boy Model X in 44mag rather recently, love the feel of it, already out on a low profile picatinny rail on it from Skinner...Been a minute since I've sat down with y'all. Got swept away with life and initially Zelda TOTK…. Haaaa. It even consumed my shooting and loading time. SMH
Looking through threads for convos on these but not seeing a lot….
Reached a goal and chose to go with 44 mag Henry Mod X… had to order it because I haven't been able to run across one in stock. This Gold star dealer (Or however Henry rates them) said it's likely few months out. Hopefully it's worth the wait.
I decided a year or so ago to switch gears and avoid this AWB nonsense in Washington and go with Lever/Pump/Revolver or bolt this time around. Was either this or Beretta A300 ultima patrol. Still waiting for KSG410 and on a tall fence for the right revolver.
First lever action…. First .44….. probably wouldn't have chosen this cartridge if I didn't reload. Ballistics look comparable.357 lever rifles… not super outstanding if I'm being modest In what I want to do with it. But figured I'd probably regret not getting the.44 if I plan on matching a sweet double action revolver down the road.
Selling points besides the tacticoolness and after market tacticoolness parts….
- medium sized loop
- threaded barrel
- tube & side gate… guess a first for Henry??

Thank you for feedback…I got the Henry Big Boy Model X in 44mag rather recently, love the feel of it, already out on a low profile picatinny rail on it from Skinner...
It's been on my list for a bit, the owner of my favorite FFL found one and ordered it for me. Surprised me with it one day...
Are you sure it won't slam fire? I thought it was '87 when they quit doing that.Went to the local gun show today....
Sold my Stoeger Condor shotgun....and bought a Ithaca Model 37.
The 37 is well worn , but well maintained...it is in 12 gauge with a cut down barrel of 20 inches.
Made in 1970...wish it was a slam fire model...but....the deal is done and I am happy with it....
