Curious how deputies found this perp's stash. Metal detector? Otherwise, kudos to deputies for digging around on their belly in a crawlspace.

"At 3:30 p.m., Sheriff's Deputies captured Mr. Halverson in the back yard of a residence in the 5500 block of SW 176th Avenue. Mr. Halverson did not have firearms on him when he was arrested. Sheriff's Deputies began an extensive search believing that Mr. Halverson stashed the guns while he was running. Sheriff's Deputies located two loaded handguns buried in dirt under a house in a crawlspace. Sheriff's Deputies associated the guns with Mr. Halverson and confirmed one of them was reported stolen."

He was more than likely in that crawl space and arrested him in the back yard after he came out from under the house. The Scherlock in anybody would have searched under the house for said guns.

Interesting that the OP put this story in the P&S forum.

I guess if you have a hidden stash of P&S gear under your neighbors house (or yours) you should rethink how safe it is from lookie-loo's

:)
