well the big problem with that argument is that the gateway drug theory, is that it is only a theory. one that was started by a newspaper editor in the 30's who helped put together the reefer madness video. to date, there is no study that shows using pot will ever make you move to other drugs. MrNiceGuy was simply playing out a joke we have all heard but in his own way. its just to point out that the idea of a gateway drug is ludicrous without evidence to back it up.

my personal experience with drugs does not make me feel like the gateway drug theory is correct. i myself smoked pot before every drinking but i still do very little of each of them. i have never done any other drugs, even though i have had plenty of opportunities and offers of them for free. it helped that i have seen what these real drugs can do to people. i grew up in a neighborhood where crack was a huge part of the local economy (not openly anyway) and i could see what happened to people when they used that drug. most of the people who used coke and heroine would resemble many of the same problems. yet through all of that experience i have met only 1 person who has allowed pot to ruin his life, with exception to those who went to jail because of it. nearly everyone i know has been a pot smoker, even some that say they have never tried it (we all know one of those). some of the most successful people i know have never stopped smoking pot and that includes some wealthy (materially), some are content with what they have who are happy everyday.

some people like this and some people dont but Thomas Jefferson who in his journal that his fondest memories where when he sat on his front porch smoking hemp. it is also apparent that he was far from the only of our founding fathers who smoked pot. some loose notes and articles from the time implied that they would smoke together after working on the founding documents. nothing that one could call proof though. it still begs the question of how bad it could be if you can conceive such a great nation while "impaired" by pot.

Where in H did you get that from?
I would like to see it.
Never saw anything remotely close to anything like that in the federalist papers.
Sounds like something out of a san franickso hippie yippie times.

Left sows seeds of anarchy, shows hypocrisy on law enforcement

While today's Seattle Times alerts readers that more than 300 pot stores could spring up around Washington – a few days after the Justice Department said it will not challenge legalized pot laws here or in Colorado – a progressive journal is sneering at the notion that Missouri gun owners want to ignore federal gun laws by way of a state statute.

liberals can be the biggest hypocrites ive ever met but legalizing pot is not a liberal agenda, its one of those things where the culture is literally 50/50 on. liberal groups do no account for half of the nation.

Implying leftists want anarchy. They want control. That's the opposite of anarchy.

Fix your headline.

Better phrased, Left wants control, instigated by anarchy.
They disrupt and use it as reasons to gain control.
The dems today are mostly Marxist, communist and socialist
and they have to create havoc to use as excuses to gain their control.
Republicans are mostly dems in a rhino costume when compared to the
republicans of the past.
No one is trustworthy any longer.
I still say that anyone representing themselves to be of one party needs to be held
criminally accountable for not upholding the platform they ran on, once elected,
just to deceive the people to gain votes.
That is pure and blatant FRAUD on the citizens.

we certainly agree on that last part.

as far as dems being mostly marxist, communist and socialist is a bit lacking in logic though. everyone exibits a bit of all of them in their arguments from time to time. i find myself swaying to the republican views but many of them are far from reality. i also see myself agreeing with socialist systems for cost reasons. an example would be socialized medicine. obamacare is absolutely the wrong way to do it but i feel you should be able to see your Dr without having to worry about how you are going to pay for it. it doesnt mean i know the best way it can be done.

A better way to state that would have been the dems are being led by the nose for the most part, down the wrong path to let our country and freedom survive. The majority follow the MSM spewed party line and don't really have a clue how far the country has fallen in the past couple decades. They just absorb the propaganda by the buckets full. The country is being run by Marxists and they want the population blind, deaf and dumb. The repubs are liars and without a spine.
It is time for a constitution party to stand up and take control. And by whatever means is necessary.
This country will never again thrive without that occurring !
People can choose to ostrich, but the hard reality is we are in the fight of our lives and this is only the beginning.
I agree, medical care needs to be there for all, but not at the sacrifice of our freedoms and country.

Sure Dave, because ZERO gun rights activists would DARE mention our support for legalization of Marijuana. I mean, Hell, the ATF DID NOT (ha ha) just recently announce that possession fo a medical marijuana license makes you ineligible for firearms possession. Sure Dave, Freedom only applies to gun rights. the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th amendments? What do we care?

Who give a rip about hat some Hippy jackwad has to say? It's about liberty. You're for it ot you aren't. No half-measures for honest people.
