    I thought guns were illegal in NYC, even for criminals. Maybe not!

    Two New York police officers were shot by an armed subway rider in Brooklyn and an off-duty officer was shot during an attempted robbery at a Bronx auto shop in the span of an hour Thursday, bringing the number of NYPD cops wounded by gunfire in the first three days of 2013 to a quarter of the total shot all of last year, authorities said.

    I believe it was in November a citizen was gun down on a busy New York city street. In a city that doesn't allow citizens to own a gun without first buying a permit to purchase one. Then you must purchase a separate permit to carry a gun. Neither of which is easy to obtain. I guess the criminal element missed that memo.
