I remember a little device that you wound up like a, "Palm Buzzer" and attached to a trigger guard. It had a little cam that rapidly rotated and pressed the trigger every time it went around. :s0023: Lots of fun, but what a waste of ammunition. :(

I guess the, "Break Barrel" leaves me out of the loop :s0092:
The only Break Barrels I own anymore are Flare Guns. :(
I always thought the 30-06 adaptor was great for, "Camp Meat". :)
I love well made SxS, over and under, and drilling break barrels. A greener cross bolt break barrel will last several lifetimes. Fe here is a j p Sauer made in 1913. Functions like it just came out of the factory. Plus if you get one in coach gun size it easily breaks down to fit in a backpack and are loads of fun to shoot.

Hmm, that reminds me, in my quest to acquire 'different' guns, i still need to add a break-open rifle, a SxS shotty and maybe a single-shot shotygun too.

FYI I have this 1972 simson 12 gauge SxS at lucky sporting goods on consignment for $600. Simson is made in same suhl factory as Merkel and is the same gun but without the Merkel price tag. It's in almost new condition. It has the "circled 1" highest quality mark.

Gun shows.

I'll reiterate.

GOOD gun shows.

Reno had The Big Show every year at the Hilton/MGM/GSR depending on the decade, the casino name changed a lot. I grew up going to that show with my dad.

Haven't been to a gun show in years. Last one here in OR was horrible.
I'll never forget going to a gun show in Corvallis in the early 90's. I walked out with an almost new 7.5" blue Super Blackhawk. For $200. With an out of state check.
