What can I legally buy at gun show in Oregon if I live in Washington?
everything except for a SBR
You can buy a lot, but you do have to jump through some hoops that a state resident wouldn't.
First, you can buy a long gun from an FFL in Oregon directly.
Second, if the FFL is willing, you can have them ship handguns to an FFL in your state.
Third, without going into details, you could buy a firearm from a private party if they are willing to go through the trouble of shipping to an FFL in your state.
Beyond that, you can of course buy any items not considered to be a firearm.
Thanks for the info what I was thinking but wasn't sure
No Full Auto guns in Washington State.
This. Also, receivers cannot be sold across state lines.
Some dealers at the shows are licensed in both states. If you buy from those dealers there's no shipping/transfer fee, although you can't take the handgun home with you from the show as the actual transfer must take place in Washington. You can also buy from another dealer at the show and have them hand deliver the transfer to the Washington dealer right there during the show, saving you shipping time and money.
And now that we're a Supporting Vendor I can say that the shop where I work (J&B Firearm Sales) is licensed in both states and can facilitate all of the above.
Private. Party sales across state lines are illeagel.
