I agree with you on the "storage area", but have you ever fiddled with a soda vending machine? They are HEAVY and can kill you if they tip over on you, they are rather substantially built .

They are not that heavy once they are gutted, 200-300 pounds. I agree with the idea that these are concealment for your guns not a safe. There is one over in Shelton for sale on craigslist right now. I thought about it but would rather buy another real safe with the money.

I agree with you guys that these aren't very theftproof or fireproof but for people who mainly want to keep guns locked away from children and wouldn't mind some free stealth, these would be sweet in the garage.
