I found this add on Outdoorstrader kinda cool idea...
Gun safe made from pop machines
Thats a smart idea. But a home invader might wonder what a pop machine was doing in your home and try to pop the change/dollar drawer.
I'd buy it just for the novelty.
Does $1.00 get you a new AR?
And if you shake it, it drops out a grenade...
"safe" may be a misnomer i think "storage area" is more like it.
Still cool idea though.
yeah, but i would be up in the wee hours trying to get a pop out of it.
thst is pretty cool
I agree with you on the "storage area", but have you ever fiddled with a soda vending machine? They are HEAVY and can kill you if they tip over on you, they are rather substantially built .
They are not that heavy once they are gutted, 200-300 pounds. I agree with the idea that these are concealment for your guns not a safe. There is one over in Shelton for sale on craigslist right now. I thought about it but would rather buy another real safe with the money.
I agree with you guys that these aren't very theftproof or fireproof but for people who mainly want to keep guns locked away from children and wouldn't mind some free stealth, these would be sweet in the garage.
Don't think a real gun safe is going to stop a determined thief.
YouTube - Security on Sale Gun safe Prying video
Hahahaha this is hella cool.... If I had one I'd rig it so it would take the money and not give anything back, that way I have some change for ammo hahahhahaha
OH YEAH! Set it up to go nutz, like in that movie "Maximum Overdrive!" Have it shooting 12 ouncers at 'em!
