Um, guys, the noncompliance rate in Connecticut is up there around 90%. It's hardly a case of pussification. :)

Anyway if some guy registers a gun, it does not mean he registers all his guns.

They (confiscators) know where THAT gun is and they don't care how many is registered, they will look for more that aren't registered at that residence!!!o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

And unless you have them stored in coffee or something that the dogs can't pick up the smell of gunpowder and cleaner, the dogs will locate the guns
Remember they always think you are lying

If it gets to the point of confiscation I can assure you it will spark a civil war.

While our rights are being restricted, Ill aid in the fight any way I can before thinking of relocation.

I always think they won't take the guns cause people will fight Bach hoooraagh. Then I look at Illinois, NY, CA , CT and wonder where's the rebellion? Then I think. They'll take the guns later, brain wash the youth wait for the old to die, take guns, fulfill the plan

aside from reading everyones comments.... my answer to the OP is HELL no i wouldnt move out of the country. i will not give up my constitutional rights. when we leave this country even on vacation we give up our rights. thats not for me. i think the main problem with all these under educated PC college kids is that they take their rights for granted an dont realize just how good we have it here. they dont realize the importance of the 2A. without it we WILL lose all our rights. the government will regulate even more of our lives. if one really hated america then ok. move to austrailia. seems like an island paradise right??OH YEAH? but guess what?u have no gun rights and no freedom of speech there. see how far that gets you when you will be thrown in jail there for voicing your opinions.

East coast folks are a different breed.
California is bad due to the 1% socialists as well as Washigton.

We have far more freedom fighters than they give is credit for. Just wait. :D

I agree completely but wonder how far away it is before we are in the same boat as Australia. It is now reality here that if you are caught making a remark or action or even lack of action that can be construed by someone, even out of context, as being " racist", " homophobic" or in any way not P.C. You will be publicly ridiculed, may lose your job or be ran out of business and/or be fined. Seems like inprisonment is right around the corner... To me it seems the 1st A is in as much trouble as the 2nd A.

As bad as things might seem, I wouldn't trade this country for any five other ones. They will continue to encroach until such time as enough people have had just that. And when that happens, God/Allah/Flying Spaghetti Monster won't be able to help those who wish to strip citizens of liberty.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson knew at out founding that this day would come. It is approaching faster and faster as the years go by. International Corporate greed, bankers, Socialist, Marxist are all ushering in the end of this country. In 1963 Nakita Kruchev said it best, as he beat his shoe on the podium, "we shall destroy you from within!" We all know that the 2nd Amendment was never intended for hunting but rather for us protect ourselves from a oppressive government. Take a look at what the "HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA" put into the Congressional Record for the Goals of the Communist Party. Go to this link and see how many of the 45 goals have already been done. http://www.rense.com/general32/americ.htm Our politicians give an oath to "Support and Defend" the Constitution and they all seem to work hard at getting around it or wanting to change it. I'm second generation retired military and my oath doesn't have an expiration date. Anything worth having, especially freedom, is worth fighting for or dying for! Millions over the past our two hundred having given their lives for this diminishing freedom we all enjoy. This Socialist/Marxist administration is "hell bent" on destroying this country and turning us into a Euro-style government controlled by the worlds elite. Why do you think the borders were never secured, pandering to illegal immigration, more suppressive laws, and going after the "pearl," gun control which will lead to eventual confiscation so they can have their way with us. Political Correctness is designed to dived us and destroy our heritage and and nationalism and everything it means to be American. God Save the Republic!

The long gun registry didn't work in Canada, no one obeyed it, so they closed the program. Now the Canucks are fighting to get their right to carry back

On a side note, Arizona was rated Numero Uno in gun rights by Guns and Ammo magazine, also rated highly by Forbes as a good place to retire...

I'd certainly move into regions (within America, and even North America) where I feel better able to protect my privacy, etc.; but I find it disheartening that as Americans, there are people who would leave their own country just to save their butts. I'd even go so far as saying it's a cowardly act. My (I'm Native American) ancestors have lived, fought, and died here in the face of overwhelming and absolute death and evil, and we are still here. This is our home, no matter what. They understood that sacrifice, courage, and the will to live free is the most important act we can do, and it's not just for us, but our children. Freedom isn't free, and if you're not willing to fight for it, then you risk being a part of the problem; maybe you don't deserve the promise of freedom that inevitably must be earned.

Nicely stated!

If Panama had the same gun laws as the US I'd be there right now. Problem is, most South & Central American countries don't allow citizens to own firearms that are military calibers.

Costa Rica requires you to be a citizen for five years before you can legally own a gun. I was there for a month in Fall 2012 & it's a real third world country. It's also very expensive, especially if you want to live like an American. Panama is a much better place to live and they give European, Canadian & American retirees all kinds of perks But - I can't take my guns so I'm not moving. Idaho, probably not because I can't tolerate cold due to a disability. Arizona, a real possibility although it gets pretty darn hot in the Summer.

I lived in CT from May '93 - Dec. '12 & moved "home" to OR two days before Sandy Hook. I have plenty of friends who have some major stashes and there's no way the authorities could find them. One friend always buys used and will never sign a bill of sale or allow a paper trail. Most of the CT State Police are jerks but almost all of them signed the Oathkeepers pledge. When the Libs declared that everyone had to register their scary guns it's estimated that a max of 10% did so. Elected officials were getting death threats & suddenly they all wanted personal protection details. Their economy is in the tank, their population is shrinking, but taxes keep going up. I lived in the country in a small town with a low tax rate but still paid $6000/year property tax. Many of my friends live in cities & pay at least $1000/month property tax. You're also taxed yearly on your car, boat, utility trailer, motorcycle, jet ski, tent trailer and if you bought it in CT, your ATV even though there's no public land to ride on. OR may be a hot mess when it comes to Libs but here I wear a gun openly & live in WA county where the Sheriff is pro-2a & runs the most transparent law enforcement agency I've ever seen.

Having nothing whatever to do with the subject of this thread, I've always wondered what kind of a man would be married to a bi-sexual woman, unless he swung both ways also. K. Brown has two step-kids & I think they'd be pretty screwed up knowing Mom was boffing Dad and some broad. She's also ugly enough to make a train take a dirt road.

I would leave Oregon if I didn't have rentals here. Born here and love the state, but the politics are contrary to my beliefs. I could move to Arizona and save a lot of money. Property taxes and food is a lot less expensive. There is also no income tax.
