Gun 're-registration' in "the other Washington"

"...if a person doesn't re-register their gun, they face a fine of up to $1,000 and up to a year in jail. Gun owners have 90 days to re-register, and a grace period of another 90 days." = Infringed.

So, theoretically speaking ....if I moved into DC and had a safe full of weapons that have never been registered ( because your state doesn't require it) and I keep things on the down-low and don't comply with their tyrannical scheme and refuse to register, what's the problem? The people that registered their firearms to begin with got this ball rolling no? Pretty sure there could be a lot of unregistered weapons in the District of Columbia.
