i live in sandy, and am thinking about joining a gun club, just curious how this works,do you have initiation fees and monthly dues, and yearly renewals, similar to a gym membership?? also what places are close in and around sandy or gresham area,i suppose estacada and clackamas work too as i commute between sandy and clackamas during the week, and what is typical expenditure for a membership,or are they all over depending on the club, any help would be good thanks

I also live in the Sandy/Boring area and commute to Clackamas for work.

Your selection of clubs, that I know of are:

Douglas Ridge: http://www.douglasridge.org/ (Eagle Creek)

Estacada Rod and Gun Club: http://www.northwestfirearms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=97

The Clackamas County PSTC: https://www.clackamas.us/sheriff/pstc.html
(Only Pistols)

Also, at the corner of Highway 211 and Bornstedt there is a shotgun club, they meet every Tuesday from 4:30 to dusk... their fee is $40/year and $4 per round of shooting (which is like, 24 pigeons or something like that)

So there are a few options... I am part of the CC PSTC since I work 1/4 mile away... and I hope to start going to the shotgun club there in Sandy soon....

There is also the Johnson Creek Gun Club. They charge $10 per month, payable one year at a time. $30 initiation fee and you have to be a member of the NRA. They will sign you up if you're not already.

Close to 82nd and Johnson Creek. Shoot you own ammo. At the CC PSTC you have to buy their ammo, which is really annoying because they have been out of a lot of stuff lately.
