I got this pistol at garage sale with 2 others. It was a 22 revolver real cheap one of the other guns was a 1903 colt. This gun had an 8th" play when the hammer was calked. I could not with a clear conciense sell it to anyone who was dumb enough to shoot it. I got $75.00 and nobody got hurt.

You could have sold it someplace like this forum as long as you gave full disclosure about the issue. There's nothing deceptive or unethical about selling a non-functional/parts gun provided that the buyer knows that's what they are getting.
