I would love to spend a week in Alaska. Do some Caribou and Moose hunting. Guided would be my preference but they can be very expensive, so it might come down to staying with a friend from high school and having him take me.

If you can afford it, it's worth it (from what I've heard)
Especially going to a different state.
Trick is finding a good reputable guide.
They know the area, usually do some pre-scouting. And help you drag out the meat.

Had close lady friend years ago who bought into business with husband in remote fly-in resort outback Alaska for premium fish/hunt packages. Heard lots of stories from the 'other side' of the question regarding regrets that I had never considered before.

While weather/occasional a**hole client issues, mostly was positive experience for everyone.
