@AndyinEverson correct, it's why I posted the original link and then the other links to substantiate the first link.

The situation in the U.K. doesn't impact us in the Pacific Northwest, but it highlights both the fragility of the supply chain and the dependency on the supply chain.

What people forget is up until 100-125 years ago fresh produce if available was available only for a very short time. The rest of the year mankind survived on meat, grains and root vegetables. Mankind survived and prospered for hundreds of thousands of years without iceberg lettuce(one of the most tasteless things in the world to me) available to them everyday.
