Ground Squirrel Hunting

Hi,

I've been travling down to South Eastern Oregon over the last few years to shoot ground squirrels.....fun, but well over 350 miles from the Seattle area.

Would love to find areas or outfitters within 200 miles or so. Certainly willing to pay for the privilege to shoot on a farmer/rancher's land.

I primarily shoot .22LR, 17HMR and sometimes bring along an air rifle.

These are commonly referred to as "Sage Rats".
Your thread title made me think "Digger Squirrels" or "Gray Diggers" which is a different critter.

There are Oregon outfitters that have mobile, highway rated shooting platforms and move their operation from field to field.
I would check with WDFW and see if sage rat hunting in WA is a thing.
