Wow, welcome,

I actually would like to learn to fly.

That would be awesome.

Wow, you might have the coolest job ever. Taking flight lessons is on the top of my to-do list the day I realize I can afford it.

Welcome to NWFA ;)

But it's been 27 years since I flew a plane and I didn't have many hours. I quit with about 65. I think I'd start from scratch if I wanted to pick it up again.

Since you already have a PPL all you would need to do is get, current medical, currency training, learn the new reg's etc for your Biannual Flight Review taken care of in currency training. there will be no written test or check ride as you are already a PPL and a pilots certificate dose not expire just loses currency. Train till your comfortable like riding a bike.

You proubally have an old paper certificate tied to your SSN the FAA will remove this for and send you a plastic certificate Free or $2.00.

Welcome, Steven!

My Dad/Grandpa used to own a Cessna 150 as well, when I was young. We'd go flying often, but they ended up having to sell it. I miss doing that, it was so much fun!

I happen to be 180 pounds... ;-)

Welcome.

<- got a private ticket, but not current. Did get married in the Evergreen Air Museum. Am a complete aviation nut...
