Just recently moved up to the Portland area, and even more recently purchased a my first rifle (and first firearm) in preparation for 2k17 hunting season. Excited to join the ranks of responsible NW gun owners!
I did not plan on moving to Oregon, but when I found myself spending a few weekends out of the month in the area I loved it (the nature, the people, the space), and decided to move here.
After being invited to a few deer hunting trips in MI a few years ago and enjoying them greatly, I'm interested in starting out on my own; so I did some research and got a nice starter rifle, a Marlin X7 .308, and waiting patiently (or not so patiently) for the next season.
