Does anyone know the diameter of the "cylinder retaining ball" KE03000 as shown in the manual? It seems to be the same ball for a few of the Ruger revolvers.

I contacted Ruger and they don't have any and will not accept back orders. They even asked me if I wasn't sure that I wanted to send it in for repair. I said, "wouldn't that cost more and take even more time?" I got a pause, then an agreement.

Since I can't backorder from Ruger and e-gunparts will only take orders from "gunsmiths", my only other option is to find out the ball bearings diameter.

I guess I could keep calling Ruger every day until they get more in. :)

Thanks for helping!

Ok, here I am answering my own question again.

I never got anywhere with Ruger. But one of the nice gunsmiths here offered to buy one through their suppliers, unfortunately no one had any.

So I measured as well as I could and ordered from McMaster Carr. It worked perfect!! It's all back together and fits great.

The minimum order was 100, so I have 99 extra's if anyone needs one. :)
