Govt's responsibility to protect?

When that's my choice, as it often is in the PNW, especially along l-5, l pick the wackiest new guy on the ticket.

The hope is that he/she will unseat a powerful incumbent and then, flush with their newfound success, be shoved in the corner while the grownups talk.

It rarely works.

There's a guy I know that I/we write in. The son of an old customer that passed several years ago. He's "Special". I've never asked him, but would guess high functioning autistic. Since his mom passed he stops buy to talk once in a while. I'm guessing extremely high IQ. I know he's smart enough to NOT want to ever be in Government! He must spend all his waking hours, that he's not all over town, reading about what's going on in the world. I call him when I need the straight poop on something in the news.
